About Westboro Machine Co.
A family run business founded in 1966 by Herbet C. Smith Jr., Westboro Machine has grown from a one-man shop located in the basement of his home to a company that now employs nine people in a 4,000 square foot building located two miles south of Westboro center. Ownership was transferred in 1990 from Herbert Smith to his sons Mike, Mark, and Joel. In 2012, Joel and his wife Denise purchased the business. Now a woman-owned business, Denise manages the day-to-day operation while Joel manages production. Mike continues to work as a valued employee in a senior consultant/machinist capacity.
